The maps shown include (orange) the embankments managed by Network Rail between Hampstead Heath and Gospel Oak Overground stations which have been culled of wildlife in a brutal way by network Rail. Additionally, these are part of the Mansfield Conservation Area. How can it be that such areas of wildlife sanctuary are not protected? This must be assured going forward if Camden's biodiversity Strategy is to have any credibility.

No clearing (felling of trees and undergrowth) should be permitted to be carried out by Network Rail on the embankments. Instead a strategy of safe vegetation maintenance should be adopted across the borough.

I am very concerned about the damage to wildlife caused by drastic removal of bushes and trees next to the North London railwayline.

The land owned by Network Rail needs to be protected as well. At the moment they can do whatever they want if they claim that it is a safety issue. This needs to be verified before they can do anything. A large amount of mature trees have just been removed between gospel oak and hampstead Heath station and no one stopped it. The effects on wildlife were devastating.

Overall strong, but I think nature could be improved in the more urban areas between the parks. Think of the very small sections on roads, by the canal side - the small bits can have a big impact.
